We need caring individuals with experience with children.

When NAN families request a Nanny Angel volunteer, they are letting a new person into their lives during a very vulnerable time. Our families have confidence in our Nanny Angels knowing that they are fully vetted, screened and trained to handle their unique situation.

Qualifications required include:

  • Individuals with one year of recent (within three years) paid or volunteer experience with children (including but not limited to: teaching, social work, nursing, child life specialist, Early Childhood Education, daycare associate, camp counsellor, classroom assistant, sports, music, theatre or art instructor, coach, activity leader or professional nanny)
  • Students in a related program seeking final year placement working with children
  • Retired professionals with related experience

Not sure if you have the appropriate experience? Contact us at volunteer@nannyangelnetwork.com

We welcome individuals with compassion and empathy for children experiencing a parent’s cancer diagnosis, treatment, recovery or death – and a real passion and commitment to supporting Nanny Angel Network’s mission to lessen the impact of cancer on families. Ideal candidates are great communicators, have strong problem-solving skills, are able to remain calm in stressful situations and act quickly in emergencies.

All volunteers must be 18 or over, have a vulnerable sector police clearance and current CPR and First Aid certification, all of which can be arranged through NAN.
